Job Description
Studio & Story is a new women’s lifestyle boutique opening soon in Hoboken, bringing together creative personalization and a curated collection of products from unique brands and makers.
We’re looking for a Creative Store Associate who enjoys interacting with clients, has a great eye and genuinely enjoys helping someone find or create a memorable piece.
Personalization is a big part of what we do, so we’re looking for someone who can learn our products and brands, understand our customization options and help customers bring their ideas to life.
What You’ll Do
- Create a warm, fun and personal experience for our customers
- Learn our products and brands so you can confidently make recommendations
- Help customers select and design personalized pieces, from colors, fonts and designs and our Italian Charm Bar
- Process purchases and personalized orders
- Merchandise, restock and keep the store organized and visually appealing
- Help receive, tag and organize new inventory
- Be proactive, notice what needs to be done and jump in
Who We’re Looking For
- A people person who genuinely enjoys helping customers
- Creative with a strong visual eye
- Comfortable offering ideas and helping customers make decisions
- Proactive, organized, dependable and detail-oriented
- Curious and excited to learn about new products and brands
- Comfortable working in a small business environment where everyone pitches in
Previous retail, boutique, hospitality, merchandising or other customer-facing experience is preferred, but personality, creativity and initiative are just as important to us.
Bonus Points If…
- You have experience with visual merchandising, styling or creative retail
- You’re comfortable capturing simple social media content
- You have experience with personalized products, machine embroidery or other creative work

Schedule
This is a part-time position with a primary need for weekend and evening availability, plus occasional weekday shifts.
