Position Overview: As an Administrative Patient Care Coordinator at Maternal Resources, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our integrative obstetrical practice. This position combines administrative responsibilities with patient care coordination. You will be responsible for maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and assisting with patient inquiries. Additionally, you will be expected to draw blood or be willing to learn this essential skill.
Responsibilities:
Patient Care Coordination:
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of clinic resources.
Act as a liaison between healthcare providers and patients, addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
Assist in maintaining patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
Administrative Duties:
Manage front desk operations, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Knowledge of patient’s insurances and payments- a resource for answering patient questions
Collecting payments of services
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Clinical Duties:
Draw blood samples from patients, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Properly label and prepare blood specimens for laboratory testing.
Ensure a comfortable and reassuring experience for patients during the blood draw process.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous administrative or patient care coordination experience is a plus.
Phlebotomy experience, or willing to learn to draw blood
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in using computer systems
Must be willing to rotate through our offices, including our Manhattan office.
