Job Description

The Group Activity Coordinator will be responsible for the oversight of group activities offered through Enrichment Clubs. This opportunity will include working with over 90 at-risk youth across our three programs, utilizing our volunteer base of over 100 community members. 

 

Position responsibilities include the planning, execution, and documentation of culturally inclusive and diverse Enrichment Club weekly activities throughout the school year and monthly field trips during summer seasons. They will report to the Executive Director. 

 

The Group Activities Coordinator will champion the mission and values of TRUE Mentors and aid in the growth of the organization by overseeing the continued participation and growth within programs. This role has the potential to grow into a full-time program manager position. 

 

Qualifications

  • Afternoon and evening availability Monday – Wednesday Required 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Associate degree or above preferred;
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish highly strongly preferred; knowledge of culturally-diverse activities recommended; 
  • Previous experience with youth activities, camps, and/or non-profit work preferred;
  • Proficient with Mailchimp, Excel, Salesforce and WordPress highly recommended; 
  • Meticulous with documentation and able to maintain ongoing program components in addition to one-time offerings; 
  • Abilities to coordinate multiple activities, volunteers, and participants at once; 
  • Outstanding communication skills and experience with underserved populations;
  • Knowledge of Hoboken and Hudson County Preferred; 

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning of diverse, culturally-inclusive Enrichment Club activities led by experts reflective of the participants communities;
  • Procurement and dispensation of materials for all Enrichment Club and all-program activities including management of invoices and receipts; 
  • Documentation of Enrichment Club attendance, group notes, and calendars including tracking volunteer hours for Enrichment Clubs and all-program events; 
  • Planning, oversight, and clean-up for all Enrichment Club and all-program activities; 
  • Communication via multiple mediums with designated Enrichment Club stakeholders
  • Management of Enrichment Club activities on website updates and via social media posts; 
  • Creation of Enrichment Program and all-program flyers, Eblasts, website, and email communication as directed by Executive Director;
