Job Description
The Executive Director is responsible for overall execution and proper ongoing documentation of all TRUE Mentors three programs: Enrichment Clubs, Mentoring, and the Homework Helpers program, including managing ongoing financial, development, and operational needs. This agency services between 50-100 at-risk youth across our three programs, utilizing our volunteer base of community members. The Executive Director will champion the mission and values of TRUE Mentors and aid in the growth of the organization by overseeing the continued participation and growth within programs. This agency has much potential for growth under the right stewardship.
Qualifications: Prior not-for-profit management experience required;
Experience with WordPress, QuickBooks, Mail-chimp, Excel, Salesforce and donor management systems required;
Meticulous with documentation and able to oversee multiple projects, teams, events in an ongoing basis;
Outstanding communication skills and experience with underserved populations;
Key Job Responsibilities:
Program Oversight (25%):
Setting program goals, budgets, and reviewing ongoing impact of each program; Ensuring ongoing, accurate documentation across programs; On-site support for in-person programs and events; Crisis response & special needs direction
Human Resources/ Management (10%)
Creation of job descriptions, interviewing, hiring and training of candidates; Ongoing regular supervision with staff; documented reviews and feedback; Updating Board of Directors and ongoing communication with Team Leaders
Development (40%):
Maintaining regular blogs, Eblasts, social media presence; Updating and maintaining marketing materials, proposal decks, and website; Seeking, generating, and submitting grant proposals; follow up reporting & documentation; Outreach and ongoing communication with donors, community partners, and prospective supporters
Financial (25%):
Setting and maintaining yearly budgets with support of Board of Directors; Maintaining grant allocations & spend-downs within allotted timeframes; Reviewing all timesheets; submitting payroll & tax payments via QuickBooks
