General Responsibilities: The SR. IT Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, operation and maintenance of systems’ hardware, software, and related infrastructure, including end-user systems of the organization. This individual assists employees and other end users in troubleshooting and solving common hardware and software problems. This individual participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance.
5 years of hands-on IT systems or relevant experience in a commercial production environment
5 years of experience in each of the following: Microsoft Administration, Cisco IOS (CLI)
5 years of experience with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP
5 years of experience in troubleshooting computers, servers (Windows)
5 years of experience in troubleshooting networks devices switches and firewalls (Cisco ASAs, SonicWALL, Cisco Meraki)
5 years IT experience with client, server, and network service delivery
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and services with a focus on core solutions such as Exchange Online (Hybrid Configuration), SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Teams.
Experience with Security and Compliance suite
Proficiency in installation and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server operating system.
Must have strong analytical troubleshooting skills
Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders (end users, developers, business units, etc)
Expertise in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and identity management concepts.
Experience in the migration of workloads from on-premises or third-party solutions into Microsoft 365.
Ability to assess on-premises and Microsoft 365 environments, provide recommendations for deploying, configuring, or decommissioning services.
Understanding of endpoint pre-requisites such as operation system requirements, client applications, configuration requirements, and networking settings to provide an optimal end-user experience with Microsoft 365 services.
Experience using PowerShell to manage, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments.
Develop, maintain, and update Microsoft 365 governance documentation.
Maintains internal documentation such as installation and configuration procedures and manuals
Understanding of the available Microsoft 365 cybersecurity products and services such as Microsoft Information Protection, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Conditional access.
Expertise developing network security related documents and presentations (PowerPoint and Visio)
Monitors and maintains network devices such as Firewalls, switches, VPN gateways and intrusion detection systems.
Perform daily system monitoring; backup management and Disaster Recovery (DR) testing to verify completion of scheduled tasks.
Provides user support, as needed. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
Responsibilities sometimes require working with little advanced notice
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and see them to completion on schedule.
